Frequently Asked
- How much do you charge?
- Can you help me locate a law firm to help with the process?
- How much does it cost to do a year end?
Here at Ottawa Bookkeeping, we tailor our fees to meet our clients’ specific needs and the type of work we perform for that client. We can charge on an hourly basis or on a fixed monthly recurring fee. Schedule a free consultation to determine how we can best suit your needs.
Yes. Ottawa Bookkeeping works with a number of corporate and tax law firms, and depending on your specific needs, we’ll be able to find the one that best suits your situation.
The cost varies, depending on how much work it takes to perform the task accurately and properly. We charge a flat service fee in addition to hourly fees, and the rates will differ depending on how you wish to pay. We also offer consultations at no cost, so feel free to stop by for a consultation to receive a rough estimate.
- Are you Accepting New Clients for the Current Tax Year?
- Is it cheaper to hire an external bookkeeping service rather than an in-house bookkeeper?
Yes, we are always accepting new clients, most being through referrals from present clients. Nevertheless, all you need to do is schedule a free consultation with us so that we can determine what you needs are and if we can help. Visit our contact page for more information.
For small businesses, the answer is yes. This is because, with an in-house bookkeeper, the employee must be given insurance, a salary, and benefits. This is more costly in the long run than outsourcing to an external bookkeeping service.
- I just received a Notice to file from the CRA, can you help?
- How do I contact the Canada Revenue Agency?
- What do I have to do to become a client?
Yes, of course. Here at Ottawa Bookkeeping, this is an area we have extensive experience with. We’ll be able to help you comply all information from even as far back as ten years ago.
There are two ways to contact the CRA. You can go to their website and create an account. You can also call them personally or have an authorized representative contact them for you. For more information (in either English or French), please click on the following link, http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/.
